TWO LOCAL companies feature in Fáilte Ireland’s latest marketing campaign encouraging Irish people to take a short break in Ireland’s Ancient East this Autumn.
Rory Leadbetter of Jerpoint Glass and Dr Michael Conway of The Hole in the Wall Pub are at the forefront in the campaign.
The companies are two out of four only tourist attractions chosen to promote Ireland’s Ancient East as a domestic staycation destination.
In 2017, Irish residents took 4.9 million holiday trips in Ireland, spending €1.1 billion nationwide.
A video on The Hole in the Wall tells the story of Michael Conway who along with being the owner of this historic building is also a cardiologist with a strong interest in the arts, culture and Irish history.
For the Jerpoint Glass campaign, viewers meet Rory Leadbetter who tells the story of his family business and gives an insight into his remarkable craft as a Master Glassblower.
