CLARA was the venue for the St Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling Championship clash between Erin’s Own of Castlecomer and Carrickshock.

Thegame proved to be a cracker with both teams battling bravely throughout. There was great value for supporters as both teams went on scoring sprees.

The effort from all the players involved was amazing and it was perhaps fair that the teams eventually shared the points, with the ‘Comer boys scoring 2-15 and The ‘Shocks totting up 1-18 which, a majority of mathematicians will confirm is 21 points apiece.

Referee was Peter Burke and his linesmen were Eamon Larkin and Kieran Canavan.
