Great support for Mill Fun Day

    THE MILL Family Resource Centre has thanked all who joined in and supported its Family Fun Day.

    This is a yearly event that supports counselling services in the centre for Urlingford and surrounds.

    Johnstown and Urlingford sponsors praised were Bill Roe c/o McCarthy’s Bar, Younique, Urlingford Arms Hotel, Wishing Well, Butler’s Inn, Ahern Fuel’s, Pierce Kavanagh, Michael Doyle, Pat Grant, Geraldine Burke, Copymoore, John Bowden & Sons, Centra, Donal Webster, Thurles Credit Union, Ossie Bennett, Campion Insurance, Maloney’s Mobile Farm.

    Lauded too were the Aspect Hotel, Sam McCauley’s,  DID Electrical,  Meubles, K-Bowl, Dubray Books, Duggan’s Menswear, MacEneaney’s Chemist, Wallis, White’s Phamacy, Allen’s,  Hotel Kilkenny, Castle Durrow, Anner Hotel, Midlands Park Hotel, Dundrum House Hotel.

    The fun event brought an afternoon of all kinds of everything, a multiplicity of stalls, face painting, cake counters, bric-a-brac, barbecue, Relay for Life.

    Other attractions included Maloney’s Mobile Farm. A big thank you went to Urlingford and Monkstown Boxing Clubs, Michael Anthony McCarthy, Monkstown International Boxing Club winner 2018, David Doyle, Peter McCarthy, Johnny Donoghue and all who donated items for stalls.

    Allotments holders donated fresh produce for the fruit and veg stall.

    Kudos also went to Scoil Rinnce Katrina, Aine O’Connor, Fionn O’Connor and Emma Stapleton, Emma Grant, Sophie Cashin. An obstacle course was donated by Donal Webster.

    Music was by the King family.

    Staff and volunteers were a great help. Centre staff who worked hard were Josephine Rafter, Sue Cox, Sarah Jane Duggan, Hetty Murphy, Vinny Moriarty and Ivan Fox.
