THE Searlait Tywang Memorial Run 2018 was a brilliant success on Sunday.

Aim of this event is to keep Searlait’s Tywang’s memory alive and to raise money for Aoibheann’s Pink Tie which helps children who battling childhood cancers.

Events includeda half marathon run, 10mile run, 5k and 10 k Run and a Children’s 500m dash in Castlecomer.

It was a fantastic event, supported by over 700 local and not so local participants.

There were medals and goody bags for all, along with spot prizes, trophies for all runners first back in each category and a prize for the first dog back.

There was also a special award for the last person back, reminder to never give up.

Most will no doubt be back to do it all again next year. The event was organised by Mairead Tywang and her committee.
