LOUGHBOY and Urlingford Libraries host a Tea Day in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland (ASI) on May 3.
This day is a vital source of funding for the ASI and funds raised will be used in Kilkenny to improve important services to support people with dementia.
Much-needed local services, like Day Care Centres, support groups, overnight respite and home care will all benefit.
Last year over €5 was raised. Aim is to make Tea Day 2018 even better with the help of our local communities. Doors at both libraries open at 10am.
An information talk about Understanding Dementia, hosted by Ms Moira Knowles, Nurse Manager, The Village Day Care Centre, Kilkenny will be held at Loughboy branch at 11am.
Moira will share useful and practical tips to support those affected by dementia and their families.
