Food for thought for students

    MS DOYLE and Transition Year Head Ms White brought the Transition Life Skills class of Kilkenny Vocational School on a trip to Thomastown School of Food.

    For the half day session the students worked diligently in teams or three or four and were excellently well behaved.

    The theme was Healthy Eating on a budget. Students prepared, cooked and served tasty vegetable and chicken skewers with sweet potato fries.

    Students then observed a spot demonstration of dessert pancakes by a school chef.

    An enjoyable and informative day was enjoyed by all students and a huge thank you went to the School of Food for facilitating the visit.
