A children’s winter wonderland

OUR CHEEKS are nice and rosy and comfy cosy are we
We’re snuggled up together like two birds of a feather would be
Let’s take that road before us and sing a chorus or two
Come on it’s lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.

The lyrics are from the song Sleigh Ride by the Ronettes, released in 2007, previously recorded by Amy Grant and later by Pentatonix.

The number would have been ideal background musical entertainment as children made their own sleights and had great fun on a local hillside.

There wasn’t a hurley or a football on view, as the children did what youngsters do, made the best of the elements as they turned what might be contrary conditions for some into a winter wonderland for young boys and girls.

And there was joy too for younger children who, with the help of parents, delighted in building their very own snowmen.
