STAFF, students and parents at Coláiste Pobail Osrai are gearing up for a busy few days with the school’s Christmas concert tonight, Wednesday at The Watergate Theatre and a fund-raising Christmas Fair on this Sunday.

Parents’ Association spokesperson, Emma Butler, said the Christmas Fair in the school building on Ormonde Road from 12 noon to 2.30pm promises to be a great family day out with lots of hand-made crafts on offer.

“The Christmas Fair is always one of the highlights on the local calendar and it’s a great opportunity for parents of pupils in the school to drop in, do some Christmas shopping and support this school fundraiser.

“It also offers the wider community a chance to support the school or pop in and see the great work our school community does.

“Many of our parents have donated fantastic Christmas crafts. We will have loads of books, plants and home baking.

“Our Transition Years will exhibit wares from their mini companies so it will be a hive of excitement. There’s no need for anyone to go hungry as we will have plenty of festive treats on offer throughout the afternoon,” she said.

Any parents interested in helping out on the day are encouraged to contact Emma or any of the other committee members now.
